Within the April 1998 subject of Martha Stewart Dwelling journal there was a recipe for Sesame Asparagus and Tofu. I ripped it out, cooked it 100 instances within the twenty years since, and nonetheless have the clipping. My approach has developed a bit, and I like to make use of the seeded tofu part on (and in) all form of issues – grain bowls, wraps, or to prime a plate of grilled greens. However, it is also excellent paired merely with boiled (or grilled!) asparagus or broccoli, or served over blanched inexperienced beans, as pictured right here. A smear of favourite chile oil, or a bathe of sliced scallions seals the deal.
A few suggestions! You’ll want to use extra-firm tofu. Additionally, mess around a bit. I name for sesame seeds right here, however like so as to add hemp seeds to the combination every so often as nicely.
